Question: How do I make disciples?
There are obviously many ways to go about this, so we would never say that “our way” is the only way. We are delighted to be a part of a larger movement of disciplemaking rising in the church across the globe with many resources and approaches available.
What we offer is a profoundly simple approach that it easily reproducable. We consider “micro groups” an ideal container that holds 4 elements that makes for transformation and multiplication. “When we (1) open our hearts in transparent trust (2) around the truth of God’s word (3) in a spirit of life-change accountability (4) while engaged in our God-given mission, we are the Holy Spirit’s hothouse of transformation.” (for further development, see Transforming Discipleship by Greg Ogden, Chapter 8)
Question: What can you do to help me?
Question: What do I get for joining?
Currently, by registering you will have access to our online forum that allows you to interact with experienced disciplemakers. As our ministry develops we will offer online courses and fee based coaching.
Question: How do I sign up for individual coaching with you?
Complete the form under the contact us tab and submit your request.
Question: Can you come to my church?
It would be a pleasure to come to your church in order to offer one of the training options that you find under the Micro-Group Strategy tab. Any of these can be tailored to your specific needs. We are looking for partners who share our disciplemaking vision and mission who would like to move toward becoming a model church. We define a “model church” as one that has a disciplemaking culture and intends to train other churches and spread this movement worldwide.
Question: Why do you think you “know how”?
What we are sharing with you is the product of over 30 years of refined experience. We speak out the “authority” of investment in lives via micro groups. We believe it is an effective vehicle for empowering the average person to assume responsibility for discipling others. Our desire is to move the average follower of Christ from consumer to multiplier.
Question: What's in it for me?
You get to be a part of the greatest enterprise that this life has to offer. Jesus has entrusted to us eternal work. There is nothing better in our experience in pastoral ministry than the week-in-week-out sharing of life on a deep level with those desiring to become all that Christ intends them to be and then see those same people assume the commitment to disciple others. Tell us what is better than that.
Question: I've heard about GRITS. What does that mean?
G - Generational (We hand off who we are. We replicate ourselves.)
R - Relational (We are real and transparent with others to create transformational environments.)
I - Intentional (We purposefully reach out to meet together regularly.)
T - Transformational (We change into who God created us to be as a new creation in Christ.)
S - Spirit-Led (We experience God's Spirit filling us to live the impossible Christian life, not trying harder by our own power.)
Question: Where are you located?
Anywhere and everywhere. Is this day and age, with internet communication, location makes little difference. Greg Ogden lives in Monterey, CA. Ralph Rittenhouse lives in Bellingham, WA. Many of the board members live in Camarillo, CA since Camarillo Community Church is our model congregation for disciplemaking. We are available through the click of a mouse.
